Down 16 pounds

Well since it is Leap Day I really wanted to do a Blog post. I was not blogging the last Leap Day. Well today was weigh in day and I am down 16 pounds from my heaviest. I was shocked I had a good week. My eating has not been the best. However I did start taking an exercise class so hopefully that is what helped this week. Today walked/ran for an hour. I really hope to keep going down from here. It was so exciting to see a number I have not seen in a very long time. Also I gave up soda for Lent so I think that is helping with the weight loss.

Running Update


That's right I ran 2 miles. On Friday February 17, 2012 I ran for 30 minutes and got in 2 miles. I think this is the farthest I have ever run. From here out my couch to 5K program is 25 minute runs and no more interval running and walking. I am sore today but I feel so accomplished. My goal for the Undy 5000 is to run the entire thing.

Weigh In 2-15-12

I weighed in today. I didn't gain and I didn't lose. I think that is pretty good since I have continued to eat like crap. I am doing my work outs though. On Friday I will be doing a 25 minute run. Here is my workout from today:

Walk 5 mins
Jog 10 mins
Walk 3 mins
Jog 10 mins
walk 5 mins

I feel like I really pushed myself today because I did stairs while I was running. It really helped get my heart rate up but man it was hard. I think I am going to do the stairs durning my 25 minute run on Friday.

Snow Day

I made these crescent roll pizzas for dinner. They were pretty good but definitely unhealthy. They are from pinterest.
We got out of school early today because of bad weather coming into town. We got about 3 inches and school is canceled tomorrow. Yay!!!
I made these tonight to but we did not eat them. I might try them for lunch tomorrow.

Do you want the good news or the bad news??

Lets start with the bad news. I gained 1.4 pounds this week. Oppps!!! I guess I shouldn't have eaten all of that bad stuff at the super bowl party. I also ate out a few times this week so I should not do that again.

Good news- Today's run was to run for 8 minutes walk for 5 and then run for 8 more minutes. I did it!!! I am slowly  building up my ability to run for an extended length. I have a 20 minute run scheduled for Friday. I think that if I can do that I should be well on my way to running a 5K.

Pre-weigh in

I am not sure how my weigh in at school will go tomorrow. I really haven't done very well in the eating department. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Speaking of school, I am wondering if we will have it. We are getting some winter weather. I am not feeling the greatest so I wont mind the day off. However, I am supposed to do a run tomorrow so I don't really want to miss that.

Down 2.4

Today was weigh in day. I lost 2.4 pounds this week. I am surprised I lost because I only ate healthy about half the week. The other half not so much. I lost though and I am excited about that. I did work out 5 days this past week so I am sure that helped. My workouts included 3 days of  week 4 of Couch to 5K and 2 days of walking at least 30 mins. I have a 20 minute run coming up on Friday. I am really excited and nervous. I am hoping I am ready for it.

Today is the SuperBowl. I am a little disappointed that the Packers are not in it. We are going over to my sister and brother in laws house to watch the game. We are all bringing yummy appetizers. I am making mini pizza and buffalo dip. I am also bringing carrots and celery to eat with the buffalo dip. (I bought chips too). So far today I have only eaten a banana. I am not really that hungry which is good because I am sure I will eat plenty later. I am also trying to drink a lot to stay full today.

I started Provera yesterday. I figured I havent had a cycle since before Christmas so I should brobably induce one.
