Sick Again

I got my call today about my blood work. I did not ovulate. No surprise. I will be starting Prometrium tomorrow to start my cycle.

I am sick again. I got my flu shot yesterday and have felt very achy and congested since then. I know the flu shot cannot make you sick so I guess this is just a coincidence. I was just sick a couple of weeks ago. Ughhh it must be the change in weather.

Tomorrow is Friday!!! We have a busy weekend planned. Friday night I will go to my grandma's for dinner. I really like that my family gets together every Friday. On Saturday we are going to our lake lot that we just bought. We need to do some work on it and we will be putting our camper on it. Sunday we will be going to the Cardinal's baseball game. We have gone to several games this season and this is the last one. They have no chance of making the play offs (sad) but it will still be fun to go and watch. We also get a free ticket to a game next season.

See below for pictures from Cardinal games this summer.

Its been a while

Well it has been quite some time since I have made a post. I was just looking back at some older posts and it was neat to see some of the stuff I had written. The school year is back in full swing an I have been busy. I have a pretty large caseload and my teacher assistant is pregnant so I have been to one who has had to deal with all of the physical behaviors. It has made for exhausting days but I feel like most of my students are where they need to be and they are learning. I have been ok dealing with my assistant's pregnancy. I thought I would make me really sad to hear about everything she is going through but I have been very excited for her and enjoy asking her about what is going on with her pregnancy. She is not one who talks about it nonstop. Usually I am the one that asks about stuff. A couple of weeks ago she found out she is having a girl. I got her a few out fits from Carters. It was fun to shop for a baby even though it was not for my own.

We went on a few trips recently. My sister moved from Missouri to Florida at the beginning of August. It seemed like to took forever to drive down there. We finally got there and it was really sad to leave her there but she seems happy. This is my other sister when we were in Florida. I called her a jail bird in her outfit and she called me a tropical bird in mine.
Mitch and I went on a trip to Destin with his family. It was such a nice trip. We were able to spend so much time with my niece and nephews. We had such a good time relaxing.

Not really sure when the next treatment will be. I am ready but it drives me crazy to spend the money on the treatments. Honestly it scares me how much kids cost. I know we can do it but I just worry. I had a blood draw today to see how this non medicated cycle went. I am assuming no luck because I took a HPT the other day and it was negative.

Thank God!!!!

Thank God that Alisa Maier has been found. The country has been in a panic since this little girl went missing from Louisiana, MO on Monday. I just feel for the family of this girl. What a horrible experience for a parent to go through. I must admit I was thinking the worst yesterday when she had been missing for over 24 hours. God answered everyone's prayers and brought her home without any harm. NEWS ARTICLE

Dr. Phil

Oh my goodness did anyone watch Dr. Phil yesterday????  He had two couples on there that did a surrogate pregnancy. It has not gone well and both families lives have been ruined. You can read about the story Here
Let me know what you guys think. This is the kind of situation I fear if we ever have to use a surrogate or adopt.

Busy Sunday!!

You wouldn't think I would have gotten much accomplished today considering I slept in but I was busy. When I got up I decided to do the laundry and realized that we were almost out of laundry detergent so I decided to make some more. We started making our own laundry detergent a few months ago. It is really easy to make.

Laundry Detergent:
1/3 bar Fels Napta Soap
1/2 c. borax
1/2 c. washing soda (not baking soda)

Put 6 cups of water in a pot and turn it on med heat.
grate bar of soap and put in pot
let the soap melt into the water and then add the borax and washing soda
Make sure all ingredients are dissolved
Divide the solution into 5 different milk jugs (gallon) There will not be much in each.
Fill the gallons up the rest of the way with hot hot water.
Shake the jugs so it is all mixed up
Let the jugs sit for 24 hours and the liquid should form into a gel consistency.
Use 1/2 c. for each load of laundry

Then while cooking lunch I decided to make dishwasher detergent. I am not sure how it will turn out I just made up the recipe so I will let you know.

I then watched the Cardinals lose! Booo. No fun.
Finished the laundry.
Worked on one of my classes I am taking for the summer.
Now I am just sitting watching tv because Mitch's softball game got canceled.

Kinda a boring post but I mainly wanted to give you guys the recipe for the laundry detergent. Try it out and let me know what you think.

Summer School

Well two weeks off was not enough. We started summer school this week and it will go until July 1st. It is not too bad because in is only 4.5 hours a day for 4 days a week but I was getting really use to being off. Oh well gotta make some money for the treatments this summer. Mitch and I agreed that we would only spend what I make working summer school. On a more fun note I have some fun plans this summer. The school district I work for had someone come in selling packages to get really cheap tickets for decent seats to the St Louis Cardinal's baseball games so we are going to 6 games this summer and fall. I am most excited about the last game of the season. I am also going to Minneapolis for my sorority convention. I along with both of my sisters were in the same sorority in college. I was president and then my other sister was president and now my younger sister is president (did that make sense). I am also an advisor for the chapter so it should be a fun trip with my sisters. Hopefully we will also be taking a trip with my husbands brothers and their families to Destin in September. We are still trying to get the details figured out and I will have to take a week off work so I am not sure if it will be feasible but it is nice to have something fun to look forward to!

Also I am posing a link to the Clear Blue Easy Ovulation Predictor Kit that I just used. I really recommend using it. It is super easy and much cheaper to purchase on Amazon. I paid $50 for the 20 count at wal-greens and it is only $39.49 on Amazon.
